ACTIVITIES

The 2nd TICA Membership Quarterly Luncheon

The 2nd TICA Membership Quarterly Luncheon was hosted last month in Bangkok at the Marriott Hotel Surawongse. The theme of “Tourism and Innovation for Thailand 4.0” was elegantly introduced with a keynote address by H.E. Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Tourism & Sports. The Minister addressed the Thailand 4.0 goals: According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) the tourism industry has come closest to the Thailand 4.0 goals in terms of high income generation and distribution. Tourism enhances the Thai economy while maintaining the country’s traditions, culture and identity as well as valuing nature. The aim is to retain existing markets while seeking out new markets, instead of competing for customers. Our video shows delegates networking over lunch, in the company of the Minister. Yet another special event with a highly relevant theme and opportunities for TICA members to meet face to face.

Her aim was to train 19 DMC players and young professionals with less than five years of experience in the competitive MICE industry.
