TCEB launches Mice one-stop service

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has introduced "Thai Mice Connect", a one-stop service e-market aimed at broadening business opportunities for Mice (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) abroad.

The platform will be an intensive e-Mice marketplace for hotels, travel companies and other tourism service operators to showcase their services, said TCEB president Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya.

Scheduled to launch on Oct 15, the platform will feature 16 main categories such as conventions, hotels, shopping places, attractions, catering services, associations and logistics.

Listed operators are registered legally and must be members of associations involved with Mice such as the Thailand International Cooperation Agency, the Thai Exhibition Association and the Thai Hotels Association.

A database of some 10,000 operators in the central, northeastern and southern provinces will be featured in the first phase of the programme, by this September. The programme will extend to cover operators in the northern and eastern regions next fiscal year, he said.

Mr Chiruit said Thai Mice Connect opens up trade opportunities for companies regardless of size because they can all list on the platform.

Activities on this platform will be used to assess the performance of Mice business in each part of the country and offer appropriate solutions for them, he said.

TCEB expects the platform will help increase Thai Mice business by around 6-8% this year.
