The first TICA Quarterly Luncheon of 2020 was an enlightening catch up between all members. With numerous industry experts in attendance, this special gathering took place at the Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit, on Tuesday 22nd September.Guests were formally introduced to new President of the THA, Khun Marisa Sukosol Nunphakdi, followed by a panel discussion on the topic of "Chance & Challenges" hosted by guest speakers Khun Nutawudh Pinthongkam and Khun Jeannie Techasiriwan.The luncheon also featured TICA Market Place, an opportunity for members to get together in a market-style setting. Many members utilised this valuable opportunity to showcase their products and services, making for a bustling and cheery atmosphere.

Surat Thani is gearing up for business travel, hoping to lure MICE visitors as it looks to recover from the pandemic. TCEB president Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya said the province is a unique tourism location with the infrastructure to serve as a MICE destination. There is seamless transport to both Surat Thani and Samui airports, said Vitaya Whangpatanathon, president of Tourism Council of Surat Thani. The province also has meeting facilities, such as a new auditorium at Surat Thani Rajabhat University that can accommodate up to 3,000 attendees.Source: Bangkok Post
