On 10 September, TICA celebrated its 40th Anniversary with great fanfare, with approximately 600 attendees and organisers celebrating the auspicious occasion. This milestone marked four decades of dedication, innovation, and collaboration within the Business Events industry, and is a testament to the hard work and passion of every member, partner, and supporter who has been part of this incredible journey.

TICA was founded with a vision to position Thailand as a premier destination for conventions, meetings, and incentives. Over the years, we have built a legacy that reflects our unwavering commitment to this goal. Together, we have faced challenges, embraced opportunities, and made remarkable strides in placing Thailand on the global map. As we celebrate 40 years of this enduring legacy, we honour not just our achievements but the spirit of unity and collaboration that brought us here. Our legacy is defined by the partnerships we've forged, the trust we've built, and the community we've nurtured.

As we reflect on our journey, let us remember the milestones we have reached and the lives we have touched. Let us honour the pioneers who laid the foundation and the members who have been with us since the beginning. Your dedication and support have been the pillars of our success. I would like to take this moment to pay tribute to two of our esteemed founding members, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai Airways. Their vision, commitment, and unwavering support have been the cornerstone of TICA's establishment and growth. Without their pioneering spirit and dedication, we would not have achieved the successes we celebrate today, and we owe them a deep debt of gratitude. Their partnership has not only helped us grow, but has also strengthened our ability to adapt and innovate within this dynamic industry. For 40 years, they have stood by us, and for that, we are immensely grateful.

But our journey does not end here. As we celebrate our legacy, we must also look forward to the future, one filled with endless possibilities. We are committed to continuing our work to make Thailand a leading destination for Business Events globally, leveraging our experience and the support of our incredible community. In that spirit of partnership and collaboration, I would like to recognise another key partner who has been crucial to our success: the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB). TCEB has been a steadfast supporter, championing the growth of Thailand's MICE industry and working closely with TICA to achieve our shared goals. Their dedication to fostering innovation, promoting Thailand on the international stage, and supporting local businesses has been instrumental in our collective achievements. Indeed, their commitment to collaboration with all parties in our industry has been nothing short of extraordinary, and for that, I would like to offer my sincere gratitude on behalf of the Association.

As we reflect on the last 40 years of achievements, it is essential to highlight the core principles that guide us as an Association. TICA serves as the collective voice of the private sector, advocating for your interests and shaping the future of the industry through collaboration and innovation. We are dedicated to ensuring that our members' voices are heard and their needs are met in every decision we make. Our strength lies in unity.
