With major events like The 2026 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund coming up, Thailand is solidifying its position as a leading global Business Events destination.

Thailand's MICE sector has seen strong growth, expanding by over 40% in 2024 compared to the previous year, although it remains 9% below its pre-pandemic peak. The sector's contribution to GDP rose to 1.67% in 2024, up from 1.03% the year before, with projections to reach 2-3% soon. The focus is increasingly on sustainability and technology, with 86% of companies prioritising diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in corporate events.

Bangkok remains the top MICE destination, hosting over 60% of events and ranking as the second-best meeting destination in the Asia-Pacific region. Pattaya and Phuket are also gaining popularity for their unique offerings.
