TCEB and 16 Partners Launch "Yok Team Prachum, Rum Rak Mueang Thai Season 2" to Boost Domestic MICE

On 16 May 2025, the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) launched "Yok Team Prachum, Rum Rak Mueang Thai Season 2", in partnership with 16 organisations. Under the theme "Inviting Office Teams to Go Off-Site Across Thailand", the campaign aims to revitalise the domestic MICE market and promote sustainable community development.

Aligned with TCEB's "3S" strategy—Stay Longer, Spend More, See You Again—the initiative builds on the success of last year's campaign, which generated over 130 million baht in economic impact and attracted nearly 15,000 participants.

"TCEB recognises that strong domestic MICE activity is key to the wider development of the national industry and economic growth," said Mrs Nichapa Yoswee, Senior Vice President of TCEB. "By promoting meetings that support communities, health, and sustainability, we are encouraging events that truly benefit both participants and local destinations."

The campaign encourages companies to host off-site activities outside their home province—lasting at least 2 days and 1 night with a minimum of 20 participants—and share a review on social media for a chance to win part of 1 million baht in prizes. Awards include Ultimate Meeting Team for the most creative review and Top Engagement Team for the post with the highest engagement. MICE operators can also enter to win awards for the Highest Number of Participants and Highest Number of Corporate Clients.

Collaboration is central to the campaign's success, with TICA, DASTA, and THA working together to promote sustainable, experience-driven MICE activities nationwide. TICA President Khun Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk plays a key role in emphasising knowledge sharing, community support, and sustainable event planning—creating memorable experiences that naturally spread through word of mouth and foster ongoing engagement.

Mr Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, Director-General of DASTA, added: "This is a unique opportunity for MICE travellers to experience the richness of community-based tourism through storytelling, local wisdom, and hands-on experiences."

Running until 31 October 2025, the campaign aims to increase participation by 10-15% and help reach the year's target of 26 million domestic MICE travellers.
