TCEB’s New President Charts Vision for “Change That Matters”

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has announced Dr Supawan Teerarat as its new President. In her first address to the press, she outlined her vision to drive the Thai MICE industry forward under the concept of “Change That Matters.” Her mission is to position Thailand as “Global-Asia’s Trusted Gateway” – a world-class and reliable destination for business events.

Dr Supawan explained that her return to TCEB reflects not only professional duty but also passion and purpose. Her recent role at the National Food Institute deepened her understanding of industry needs, reinforcing her belief that MICE is more than events – it is an engine for high-value impact and meaningful transformation.

To realise this vision, she has defined four strategic pillars:

  • Global Reach – strategic bidding, market expansion, and international partnerships.
  • Local Strength – developing MICE city clusters and flagship events.
  • Organisation Transformation – driving innovation, digitalisation, and employee growth.
  • Capabilities Excellence – enhancing policy leadership, industry standards, ASEAN expertise, and sustainability.

Dr Supawan emphasised collaboration, innovation, and sustainability as central to strengthening Thailand’s competitive edge, ensuring the MICE industry delivers lasting value and contributes to national growth.
