TICA Destination Update 2019 - Phuket
TICA is committed to providing business as well as education opportunities for all members. Our highlight event, TICA Destination Update 2019 to Phuket was organised specially for DMC, PCO and EMC members and took place from June 13th to 15th. During this inspection-packed education trip, members learned what’s new in Phuket and why it is the perfect place to host your MICE activities. #TICASocial
Day 1 of #TDUPhuket was a great success. Representatives visited a selection of great hotels including Pullman Phuket Arcadia, Movenpick Myth Hotel Patong and Hotel Indigo Phuket Patong. Between site visits, participants were also treated to a massage at Sukko Spa and dinner and drinks at the vibrant Cafe Del Mar Phuket!
#TDUPhuket Day 2 was jam packed with activities! The day began with a delicious lunch onboard HYPE Boat Club. Next, representatives joined the #TIME2019 delegates for networking at Blue Elephant Phuket, followed by an educational stroll through the Old Town where we ended up Tu-Kab-Khao for an authentic Southern-inspired dinner.
Day 3 marked the conclusion of this edition of #TDUPhuket. Representatives had an early morning with informative site inspections at Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach, Angsana Laguna Phuket, and Renaissance Phuket. After a delicious barbecue lunch, everyone headed to the afternoon Open Mic session where all TICA members from Phuket were invited to attend as well. This session started off with a presentation by Phuket Hotels Association, followed by various great presentations from all delegates and finally ended with a valuable session of feedback where the audience discussed ways of driving more business into Phuket. Before heading to the airport, we spent the evening exploring the beautiful grounds of Anantara Mai Khao Phuket.
