Thailand Incentive and Meeting Exchange (TIME) 2023 (13-17 June 2023)
Hosted by TCEB's M&I Department, Thailand Incentive and Meeting Exchange (TIME) 2023 took place from 13 - 17 June in Bangkok and Phuket. The three sessions that took place at this event were:
- KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE - An educational forum for M&I stakeholders to learn, share, and ignite new ideas.
- BUSINESS EXCHANGE - A business session to connect Thai suppliers with international buyers for stronger partnerships and business opportunities.
- EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE - A familiarisation trip to showcase the very best and newest offerings of Thailand to international buyers.
TICA Membership Quarterly Luncheon & Marketplace (9 June 2023)
On 9 June 2023, TICA held its Membership Quarterly Luncheon & Marketplace at the Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town. This event was organised with the support of the TCEB Southern Regional Office where around 70 attendees enjoyed the opportunity to network, indulge in the delicious local fare, and see the merchandise being offered. At the event, there were four speakers who focused on specific markets:
- North American Market and Australasian Market | Khun Bert, Managing Director - Realm Events
- ASEAN Market | Khun Max, Managing Director - Events Travel Asia
- European Market | Khun Chariya, Director - Conference & Destination Management
- Chinese Market | Khun DavidStone, General Manager - CCT M.I.C.E.
The next day, members also had the chance to give back to the community through CSR activities. At the TICA Marketplace, THB 20,000 was raised to support lunches for students at Banmaikhao School, and the TICA team were able to meet the students and plant vegetables with them.
Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2023 (TTM+ 2023) (1-2 June 2023)
On 1 and 2 June, TICA was invited by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to participate at the Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2023 (TTM+ 2023), an annual B2B travel trade event, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC). This year's theme was 'Visit Thailand Year 2023, Amazing New Chapters'.
IMEX Frankfurt 2023 (23-25 May 2023)
TICA attended IMEX Frankfurt 2023 on 23-25 May, where they had a chance to network, learn, and discuss the latest events trends with the global business events community, and showcase the strengths of Thailand's robust MICE industry.
During the successful event, TCEB launched the 'Thailand MICE to Meet You Year 2023' campaign, which spotlights new products, tech solutions, and support schemes, and aligns with the Thai government's tourism campaign to promote Thailand's soft power.
This year, the Future Leaders Forum included an international university challenge where five regional winners from around the world were invited to present their final bid at IMEX Frankfurt.
Sponsored by the MPI Foundation, the winner of this challenge and grand prize was given to Kewalin Suraphanpirosh from College of Innovation, Thammasat University.
