The Sustainability Expo 2024, a brainchild of Thai Beverage Plc and partners, concluded on Sunday, 10th November. Held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) for the fifth consecutive year, the 10-day event aimed to raise public awareness of sustainable living.
Thai Beverage CEO and President Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi emphasised the importance of sustainability in his speech. He highlighted the need for businesses to adopt more sustainable practices to ensure a better future for generations to come. He emphasised the importance of the sufficiency economy philosophy and encouraged the younger generation to embrace sustainable living.
The expo featured a variety of exhibits and activities, including the "Better Me," "Better Living," "Better Community," and "Better World" showcases. These showcases aimed to inspire visitors to make sustainable choices in their daily lives.
With over 740,000 visitors both online and offline, the expo exceeded its target of 500,000. The event generated significant revenue, with the Market Place section bringing in 17.09 million baht and the Food Festival generating 23.7 million baht.
In addition to its impact on public awareness, the expo also contributed to charitable causes. A two-day fundraising concert raised 4.8 million baht to support flood victims in the northern region.
The organisers have committed to continuing the Sustainability Expo until 2030, aligning with the United Nations' 2020-2030 Decade of Action. By promoting sustainable living and inspiring positive change, the expo aims to contribute to a more sustainable future for all.
