On 7 October 2015, TICA Executive Committee led by Khun Sumate Sudasna, TICA President paid a courtesy visit to Khun Yuthasak Supasorn, the newly appointed governor of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

the 19th CPS&CONVEX 2015
TICA recently organised the 19th CPS&CONVEX (Convention Promotion Seminar & Convention Exhibition) during 24-26 September 2015 at Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre .
Organised every the other year, the CPS is the association’s most successful and largest scale event with the aim of encouraging local associations and government agencies to bid for and host international events. This year, TICA reduces using paper in the conference by downloading all relevant information in the USB wrist band and distributed to all buyers and sellers instead of conference folders. At the Convention Exhibition (CONVEX), sellers were requested to download the given mobile app. which allowed them to scan QR code on the Buyers’ badge when they meet. Moreover, at each sessions, all participants were encouraged to engage with speakers with live questions and polls through sli.do website. This was another tools that participants can use for their next events. 140 delegates attended this event.
The 19th CPS & CONVEX received overwhelming support from TCEB, TAT, TG, Pinkanakorn Development Agency (Public Organization), Bangkok Airways, and also TICA members that helped contribute the success of this event.

TICA President & Chairpersons committee meet members
TICA President and Committee Chairpersons recently met TICA Members in Chiangmai with the main purpose to update MICE information as well as TICA activities and its benefits in being a member. 30 attendees from 20 members and non-member organisations attended this function on 23 September 2015 at Le Meridien Chiangmai.
TICA Membership Quarterly Luncheon
TICA Membership Quarterly Luncheon was organised on 22 September 2015 at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao. Mr. Michael Marshall, Chief Commercial Officer, Minor Hotel Group was the speaker of this luncheon. He spoke about “E-Commerce and Revenue” which attracted over 80 members for this topic. In addition, New Members Orientation was organised on the same day. Khun Max, Membership and PR Committee Chairperson presented TICA activities, its function as well as association history to all new members.
