The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) hosted a networking function at the Thailand Pavilion at the IBTM World 2015 in Barcelona. Mr. Nopparat Maythaveekulchai , TCEB’s president, welcomed H.E. Mrs. Busaya Mathelin , Ambassador of Thailand to Spain to the function. The Ambassador presided over the event and gave a welcome remark to all participants of the event including hosted buyers, visitors and the media.

Spain has been a top ten source market from Europe for MICE (Meetings and Incentives) travelers since 2013. For the last 3 quarters of 2015, Thailand received positive climb for overall MICE travelers from Spain. TCEB continues to work in close partnership among Thai team including Thai Embassy, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thai Airways, and all other related stakeholders to make sure Thailand is a preferred destination in Asia for business events from Europe.

The networking function provided a good opportunity for buyers and Thai sellers to mingle, and allow them to have possible business discussions while enjoying a glimpse of Thai hospitality.
