Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau launched, earlier this week, a ‘Biz Thailand’ mobile application as an information channel for business event travellers.

TCEB’s Information Technology Department director, Sarita Chintakanond, said the new mobile application is part of the bureau digital marketing strategy to boost MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibition) business.

“The Biz Thailand mobile application, comes in two language versions Thai and English…it has been developed to provide easy access to Thai MICE industry via a smartphone.”

The mobile application offers information on attractions, restaurants, hotels, flight details, MICE venues in Bangkok and other major cities.

The location-specific feature will also help update special promotions and activities in the area in real-time, and users can share this information through their social networks, the director said.

The Biz Thailand app is available for download now from the App Store and Google Play.

Besides the mobile application, TCEB is extending the reach of its MICE website at www.businesseventsthailand.com by providing information on MICE products and services, in eight languages –Thai, English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Russian and Korean.

The strategy also includes online marketing tools and digital sales aids such as a blog, digital brochure, photo and video content, as well as infographics.
