2016 TICA arranged a business networking event for the Australian bookers to meet Thasuppliers. Prior to a dinner at The St. Regis Bangkok, TICA members met the MICE planners and had an

The Australian MICE planners shared some useful information and advice with TICA members:

Value adds
Destination/cultural experiences
CSR/sustainability activities as Aussie groups have a desire to leave a positive footprint
What are the positive attributes for Thailand as a MICE destination?

The biggest challenge for a destination or a supplier?
Response times. Keeping in view the short time difference between Australia and Thailand, planners need same-day replies as their corporate clients are pressing them for “immediate” answers.
As is customary, TICA will be hosting its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, 31 March 2017 and the venue will soon be advised. Since the current Board of Directors have completed their 2 year-term, a new Board will be elected at this AGM.
