First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to TICA Board of Directors and members-at-large for re-electing me President for the 5thconsecutive term. I feel deeply
honoured to continue to guide this prestigious organisation, and will do my best to work with members for further development of Thailand’s MICE industry. TICA has, in these
recent years, come a long way, and I am indebted to say that many of the association’s goals and objectives have been achieved, thanks to the support of our very resourceful Board
of Directors, the Marketing, Membership & PR and Services Development committees. My sincere thanks to them for all their selfless hard work and strong dedication. I am confident
that the new committees will maintain this momentum with our now renown TICA Spirit.
As the Thai MICE industry continues to grow and develop, both the government as well as the private sectors are pooling in their resources to promote more new destinations and
convention centers, providing business travellers with still further opportunities to experience more of amazing Thailand and discover the charm and diversity that’s unique to our
kingdom, complementing their business agendas and making their visits more memorable.
As a special incentive to attract more MICE business, the country is also offering special concessions to groups of 200 or more hosting an event here. Further details can be
obtained from TCEB, Thailand’s authority for MICE/business events industry.
In this issue, our destination highlight is ‘Bangkok’s Riverside Hotels’, which includes some of the iconic and high-profile hotels dotted along the banks of the mighty Chao
Phraya river.
At our 34thAGM last month, our new logo was revealed, and I trust that the vibrant look will reflect on our robust and progressive industry more than ever.
Thank you once again for your vote of confidence, and I wish all our members a more productive time ahead so that we can take Thailand to even greater heights of
achievement
