Phuket – Pristine Beaches

Southern Thailand is synonymous with visions of turquoise waters, powdery white sand and dramatic limestone cliffs. Indeed, Thailand’s southern peninsula – flanked by Myanmar and the Andaman Sea to the west, the Gulf of Thailand to the east, and Malaysia to the south – is one of the most picturesque tropical destinations in the world, with miles of unspoilt beaches and some of Thailand’s most famous islands and top-tier resorts.

The most famous of Southern Thailand’s many islands – and the largest – is Phuket, which offers something for every type of traveller. Patong beach, in Phuket’s main city, is the epicenter of the island’s nightlife, with bars, clubs and local restaurants to suit every budget. Phuket Town is the administrative centre of the island, but also boast lots of historic Sino-Portuguese architecture, much of which has been converted into charming cafes, restaurants and art galleries. Just outside the city is the Royal Phuket Marina, one of the premier yachting hubs of Asia. Here is it possible to book excursions for groups and cruise around Phang Nga Bay’s limestone cliffs, caves, mangroves, fishing villages and islands.
