SITE Global Conference 2019

We were brilliant in Bangkok! The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) Global Conference 2019 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok welcomed the international community of incentive travel professionals to explore the theme “Incentivizing Diversity and Innovation”.

On the agenda this year were learning sessions, prominent speakers, cultural and creative immersions, certification opportunities, exciting evening events and the Crystal Awards. A very special highlight was the crafting of the first ever Manifesto on Incentive Travel - The Bangkok Manifesto. All delegates were invited to make their viewpoint heard as we crafted an inaugural 10 point “Credo” of the collective beliefs about the power and purpose of Incentive Travel.

TICA members were well-represented, of course, and our specially recruited interns from various universities were easy to spot in their distinctive “Ask Me” t-shirts. Also prominently represented was the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), promoting their newly launched programme that is increasingly gaining prominence in the MICE community with its catchy “Redefine Your Business Events” slogan. The enthusiasm of delegates was contagious, all having fun mixing and meeting counterparts from across the world and taking part in a tightly packed agenda that marked another very successful SITE event. TICA Membership Quarterly Luncheon on 19 March 2019
Who said brains can’t entertain? TICA’s first membership Quarterly Luncheon of 2019 will tackle the question, “The most effective tool in your brain – are you using it?” The event will be held on Tuesday the 19th of March from 11.30 – 14.30 hours, at the Grand Ballroom 1 in the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok.

The talk will explore ways to positively influence both clients and staff in order to turn impossibilities into possibilities. The session, “Switch it On!” will walk you through programming your mind in the right way, so that you can cultivate a go-getter attitude that will lead you to daily success. Capturing the spirit the session hopes to inspire is the oft-quoted Henry Ford saying, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't – you're right.”

Leading the talk will be Mr. Leslie Choudhury, one of Asia’s foremost communication trainers, the CEO of Choudhury International, and best-selling author of the series “Once Upon a Time.” A transformer of individuals, teams, and organisations, Mr. Choudhury’s vast array of experience in the field of hospitality allows him to reach individuals from all walks of life. Mr. Choudhury’s ‘Directive Communication Psychology’ has won him much acclaim worldwide, including the EIBTM - IT & ME Personality of the Year Award for Asia & Pacific, and he was voted one of the top 30 Communication Gurus in the World and number 1 in Asia.

TICA will also be conducting a "Product Update" session for industry members to present their latest products. Approximately 100 members from various membership categories (hotel, DMC, Convention & Exhibition Centre, PCO, PEO, EMC, etc) will be a part of this luncheon. Please note that this session will be limited to no more than 5 companies.

TICA Annual General Meeting (AGM)
TICA’s AGM will be held on the 4th of April 2019 at Magnolia Ballroom, Waldorf Astoria Bangkok during which the elections for the 2019-2020 term will take place. All members are requested to participate.
