The Art of Event Attraction (15 December 2023)

The final training course of the year, “The Art of Event Attraction,” aimed to impart knowledge on sales in MICE, elevate standards for event venues and communities in the Southern region, and push Thailand as a preferred MICE destination for international travellers.
TICA was honoured to conduct this course for operators in Hat Yai, Songkhla, Trang, and Phatthalung, with TICA Capabilities Development Committee Member, Khun Panithan Vongkerd, as a speaker. We would also like to thank Khun Patter Singhavara, the Director of TCEB RO - Southern Office, for inviting us.

AFECA 2023 & AMYC 2023 (20-22 November 2023)

AFECA 2023 carried on from the success of the first edition, starting with a luncheon at Praya Kitchen, followed by the inspiring AFECA Asia Mice Youth Challenge 2023, where 150 brilliant young minds from across Asia pooled their talents together to showcase the potential of the MICE industry from their respective regions. All teams showcased creativity, innovation, and dedication, driven by their passion and hard work, solidifying that the future of the MICE industry is in good hands. The day culminated in a networking dinner at Marriott the Surawongse’s rooftop, where guests engaged in conversation and networked with like-minded individuals while enjoying the delicious fare.
We also take the opportunity to congratulate the winners of the AFECA Asia Mice Youth Challenge 2023! This year, competition was fierce and every team brought their absolute best to the table. TICA would like to especially recognise the efforts and accomplishments of the teams from Lyceum of the Philippines University, Singapore Polytechnic, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. You did your respective regions proud.
Finally, we are pleased to announce that Thailand will be one of the 11 participating countries/regions for AAMYC2023. TICA would like to extend a warm welcome to the three teams representing Thailand from the College of Innovation at Thammasat University, Mahidol University International College, and Prince of Songkla University (Phuket Campus). All three teams have received support from both TCEB and TICA, and we wish them every bit of luck in their upcoming challenges. Here’s to making the Kingdom proud!

Asia 20 Business Events Forum (21-23 November 2023)

The Asia 20 Business Events Forum took place in Bangkok from November 21 to 23, 2023, bringing together over 150 leaders from Asia's MICE associations. At this inaugural event, Organising Committee chair Sumate Sudasna, also looked upon the event as " APEC of Asia's business events ", delivering a powerful and meaningful message to the government and general public.

Organised by AFECA, the three-day forum included an Annual General Meeting (AGM), the AFECA Asian MICE Awards & Gala Dinner, and the AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge. The objective of the event was to address key issues in the MICE industry by highlighting unity, collaboration, and proactive efforts among industry professionals.

Representatives from trade organisations across the region attended the forum, including those from Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, and Taiwan, among others.
