Buriram Province, Thailand, played host to the 13th ASEAN Education Ministers Meeting on August 23-26, 2024, under the theme "Transforming Education in the Digital Era."
The meeting brought together education ministers, senior officials, and related personnel from ASEAN member states, as well as China, South Korea, and Japan. Attendees discussed the pivotal role of digital technologies in enhancing education quality and equipping learners with essential skills for life and careers.
Beyond the formal meetings, the Ministry of Education organised field trips to showcase Thailand's innovative teaching practices at various educational levels, from primary to vocational education. Additionally, an exhibition highlighted the "Happy Learning" policy, which leverages digital technology to enhance educational experiences.
Buriram was selected as the venue for its capacity to host large-scale events and its reputation as a hub for educational innovation. Home to over 80 outstanding educational institutions and well-prepared teaching professionals, Buriram provided an ideal setting for this significant gathering.
