TICA Away Day at Six Sukhumvit MICE Hotels

The TICA Away Day commenced on the morning of August 30, 2024, with invited DMC and EMC members gathering at JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok. The event began with a warm welcome from Khun Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk, Vice President of TICA, followed by a presentation by the Six Sukhumvit MICE Hotels and a welcome speech by the General Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok. An engaging ice-breaking activity set a vibrant tone for the day, after which attendees enjoyed a hotel showcase at JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok before proceeding to The Landmark Hotel Bangkok.

At The Landmark Hotel Bangkok, the Hotel Manager greeted the group with a heartfelt welcome, followed by another hotel showcase. The journey continued with a brief journey to the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok where the General Manager extended a warm reception and showcased the hotel's offerings. The group then took the skywalk to The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, where they were greeted and introduced to the hotel by the General Manager. The day's activities concluded with a final showcase at the So Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, where attendees were once again warmly welcomed.

In the evening, after some relaxation and time to freshen up, the group reconvened at Spectrum, located on the 29th floor of the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, for a reception. Khun Sammy Carolus, General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, delivered a welcoming speech, setting the stage for an enjoyable evening of food and drinks. The night concluded with attendees returning to their respective hotels.

On the morning of August 31,2024, attendees began their day with breakfast at their hotels before checking out and leaving their luggage with the concierge. The day's agenda kicked off with a series of destination updates. Attendees were divided into three groups, each visiting Bhawa on the Eight, The First Aid Kiss, and a dining venue at the Monkey Pod & Blue Elephant Restaurant, Sukhumvit Soi 13.

The final stop was the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, where attendees were taken on a hotel inspection and then enjoyed lunch at the Voila restaurant. The afternoon featured a business matching session with the MICE community from Koh Samui, hosted by the Southern Regional Office, TCEB. These included 21 DMCs, 4 EMC members from TICA, and 5 DMC organisations from Samui. The session included a video welcome, an opening performance, and speeches from Khun Pattanachai Singhavara and Khun Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk. After a group photo, business matching commenced with product presentations and meetings at various booths. The event concluded with attendees retrieving their luggage from the group check-in lobby at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit.
