TICA recently hosted its Quarterly Membership Luncheon on Friday, 8th November 2024, at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok. This event provided a valuable opportunity for members to network, share insights, and learn from industry experts.
The guest speaker, Mr. Kuba L. Piotrowski, Global Conference and Event Manager at Oriflame Cosmetics, delivered a captivating presentation titled "My Experience Organising Events in Different Destinations and How Thailand Can Prepare to Accommodate High-Level Corporate Events." With his extensive experience in organising corporate events worldwide, including in Thailand, Mr. Piotrowski shared valuable insights and recommendations for the Thai MICE industry. The session was moderated by Khun Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk, TICA's Vice President.

The AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge 2024 was held on 5 November 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The competition brought together 21 teams from nine countries, showcasing the exceptional creativity and innovation of young talent within the Business Events and MICE industry.
The Convention Promotion Foundation (CPF) proudly supported three teams from Thailand, enabling their participation in the event. The teams that participated were Mae Fah Luang University, the College of Innovation at Thammasat University, and Mahidol University International College.
A notable achievement was the recognition of a representative from Mae Fah Luang University, who received the Best Presenter Award. This accolade highlighted their outstanding performance and exceptional communication skills during the competition.
The overall champion title was awarded to Sunway University, Malaysia. The Institute of Technical Education, College Central, Singapore, secured the position of 1st Runner-Up, while the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong claimed the 2nd Runner-Up award.
The event not only celebrated the innovative ideas and talents of young professionals but also demonstrated the collaborative spirit and potential within the MICE industry across Asia. It served as an inspiring platform for future leaders, fostering growth and exchange of ideas that will shape the industry's future.

The Business Matching event is set to take place on 16 January 2025, providing a dedicated platform for professionals within the Business Events and MICE industry. The event is expected to attract approximately 40 attendees, including Destination Management Company (DMC) members of TICA and members of the Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA).
