Indian Dealers Set Records and Drive Tourism with Landmark Event in Chon Buri

Thailand’s appeal as a premier destination for large-scale incentive travel was on full display on 13 December, when more than 2,500 Indian dealers and employees gathered at Samae San Beach on Koh Larn, Chon Buri province, for a record-breaking corporate event valued at approximately US$4.5 million.

Led by prominent Indian real estate investor Mr Gokul Kripa, the gathering set out to achieve three Guinness World Records while celebrating Indian unity and strengthening tourism ties between India and Thailand. The event was organised by Gokul Kripa Sales and Marketing Pvt. Ltd. under the leadership of Managing Director Mr Sumerji, together with board members Mr Ganga Singhji, Mr Foolchandji and Mr Rajeshji, alongside Mr Gokul Kripa himself, a well-known figure in India’s real estate sector.

Participants undertook three ambitious record attempts: the creation of the largest Indian national flag ever displayed on Thai soil; a coordinated parade of more than 60 speedboats, each flying the Indian flag, cruising across the surrounding waters; and the delivery of the longest speech to a live audience of 2,500 people. Together, these activities created a striking visual and emotional statement of unity, pride and collaboration.

The event was meticulously planned and delivered by Booking Window DMC Thailand, a leading destination management company with extensive experience in staging large international events across Thailand, Bali, Dubai, Vietnam and India. Hemtrip, a major tour operator, supported logistical arrangements, while the professional execution by the on-ground team ensured seamless coordination, safety and guest experience throughout the day.

Beyond its record-setting ambitions, the event served as a powerful symbol of the strong and enduring relationship between India and Thailand. It showcased how visionary leadership and expert event management can foster cross-cultural exchange, shared values and long-term partnership opportunities.

Organisers estimate that the influx of visitors generated more than 150 million baht in economic activity, benefiting Pattaya and surrounding areas through hotel stays, transport services, dining and local suppliers. As Thailand’s tourism sector continues its recovery, the success of this high-profile gathering further reinforces the country’s position as a leading hub for incentive travel and large-scale corporate events, capable of attracting high-spending international groups and delivering world-class experiences.
