Thailand Launches 'Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025' for Unforgettable Experiences

Thailand launched the "Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025," an exciting year-long campaign to showcase the country's rich cultural heritage, vibrant tourism offerings, and world-class sporting events. The initiative aims to position Thailand as a leading global destination, attracting 39 million international visitors and generating 3 trillion Baht in tourism revenue.

Prime Minister H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra highlighted tourism as a key economic driver, stating the importance of infrastructure growth, world-class events, and innovative experiences to attract visitors. She encouraged collaboration between the public and private sectors to enhance Thailand's tourism offerings and create unique travel experiences.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports is enhancing accessibility and safety for tourists with several initiatives, including increased airline slots, a new online TM6 immigration system, and improved transportation networks. The Ministry is also strengthening tourist safety with crime prevention, accident reduction, and enhanced assistance services.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) introduced the 5 Grand Concepts to elevate the visitor experience:

  1. Grand Festivity - A year of spectacular events, including cultural festivals, music performances like EDC and Wonderfruit, and international sporting events such as MotoGP and the Amazing Thailand Marathon.
  2. Grand Moment - Immersive experiences at Thailand's natural wonders, such as the pink sea of mist at Doi Inthanon and the bioluminescent plankton in Chumphon.
  3. Grand Privilege - Exclusive travel benefits with special promotions, such as Amazing Romance Month and Amazing Thailand Grand Sales.
  4. Grand Invitation - Welcoming global icons and influencers at prestigious events like the Amazing Thailand Saneh Thai Gala Night and NAS SUMMIT BANGKOK.
  5. Grand Celebration - Celebrating key milestones, including the 50th anniversary of Thailand-China relations and the 15th Thailand Tourism Awards.

The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) will host major events like the 33rd SEA Games and the FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship, further establishing Thailand as a premier sports hub.

Thailand's 2025 initiative promises a year of unforgettable cultural and sporting experiences, reinforcing the country's reputation as a world-class tourism destination.
