From Strategy to Sustainability:
TICA’s Transformational Roadmap Under Khun Prachoom’s Leadership

As President of the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA) for the 2025 -2027 term, Khun Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk has spent nearly a year steering the association with clarity, conviction, and a forward-looking strategy. At a time when Thailand’s MICE sector faces both global competition and rapid transformation, her leadership reflects a decisive shift from short-term recovery to long-term impact.

Her most recent focus – articulated during panel discussions at Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB)’s Strategic Direction 2026: From Change that Matters to Impact that Lasts – centered on strengthening the bridge between public policy and private sector execution. She underscored that Thailand’s competitive advantage will not rest solely on infrastructure or marketing, but on cohesive collaboration between government agencies and industry operators. By aligning national tourism strategies with real-world business operations, she aims to ensure that policies translate into measurable growth and sustainable outcomes.

Below is a summary of Khun Prachoom’s key elements of her strategic leadership as of 2025–2026:

  • Bridging Public & Private Sectors: As President of the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), Khun Prachoom places strong emphasis on close collaboration with government agencies to ensure that national tourism and economic strategies are effectively translated into private-sector implementation. She advocates for structured dialogue between policymakers and industry stakeholders, enabling regulatory frameworks, investment priorities, and destination marketing efforts to move in tandem. Her approach reinforces the idea that sustainable growth in Thailand’s MICE sector depends on alignment, shared accountability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Seven-Point Roadmap: In late 2025, she introduced a comprehensive seven-point roadmap aimed at strengthening Thailand’s global competitiveness. The framework prioritizes infrastructure enhancement, sustainability integration, talent development, digital transformation, policy reform, brand protection, and long-term industry resilience. Rather than addressing these elements in isolation, the roadmap connects them into a cohesive strategy designed to future-proof the sector against economic volatility and rising regional competition.
  • Strategic Vision (TICA 2025–2026): Under her leadership, TICA is driving a vision centered on sustainable, high-value, and resilient MICE growth. The goal is to elevate Thailand’s standing as a premier global business events hub—attracting quality events that generate economic impact, knowledge exchange, and international partnerships, rather than focusing solely on volume.
  • Sustainability Focus: Drawing from the core sustainability and well-being principles of Dusit International, she integrates environmental responsibility, community engagement, and human capital development into the broader national MICE agenda. Her emphasis on sustainability reflects global market expectations and enhances Thailand’s long-term destination credibility.
  • Background: A seasoned hotelier, Khun Prachoom serves as Vice President – Operations (Central & Southern Thailand) and Government & Business Relations at Dusit International. Her extensive operational and policy experience provides her with a unique ability to bridge strategy with execution, ensuring that TICA's direction remains both visionary and practical.

Under Khun Prachoom’s stewardship, TICA is not only adapting to change—it is shaping it, ensuring that Thailand’s MICE sector evolves with purpose, partnership, and lasting impact.
