Global Exhibitions Day

TICA, in association with The Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations (AFECA) invited all members and MICE professionals to join forces for Global Exhibition Day (#GED18), which took place on 6 June 2018. It was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the exhibition industry and highlight its positive impact on jobs, business, innovation and local investment. Organisers to students, local partners and public authorities, from various continents joined the GED18 campaign for an array of national and local events. The event not only promoted the exhibition industry in Asia, but also supported the MICE industry worldwide.

MPI Foundation / Maritz Global Events Student Scholarship Award

Rising star Praeploy Petretti from Chiang Mai University in Thailand was presented with the MPI Foundation / Maritz Global Events Student Scholarship Award. The award, which celebrated and supported the next generation of meeting planners, is part of the IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum International University Challenge. At the final of the Challenge, held at #IMEX18 in Frankfurt, the regional winners competed for the grand prize, sponsored by the MPI Foundation.

TICA Live from Frankfurt: IMEX 2018 - 1st Day

TICA Training Programme: The New Way of B2B Communications for the Business Events Industry on 7 May at the Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse

TICA hosted another power-packed training day at the Bangkok Marriott Hotel The Surawongse, focusing on the New Way of managing B2B communications in the business event industry. El Kwang, Founder & CEO of Untangled Pte Ltd led the training and spoke about how to leverage neuroscience in marketing and communications, how to grab the right attention through content marketing, how to use (or not use) influencers, how to stop boring site inspections and learn how to motivate your audience so that they remember your products and services.
