Dear TICA Members,
Despite a slowdown in overall tourism arrivals, Thailand’s MICE industry continues to demonstrate remarkable resilience and growth. This encouraging trend reflects the collective strength and adaptability of our industry stakeholders, as well as the many advantages Thailand continues to offer as a leading MICE destination in the region.
A key driver of this positive momentum has been the increased air connectivity to Thailand, which has made travel more convenient for international delegates and business travellers. We are also witnessing a shift in visitor behaviour — MICE guests are choosing to stay longer and spend more per trip, a strong indication of their confidence in the quality, diversity, and value of Thailand’s offerings.
To sustain this trajectory, it is essential that TICA members — from DMCs to hotels and venues — pool their resources, share expertise, and work hand in hand to design creative, distinctive, and high-impact experiences. Collaboration, combined with innovation, will enable us to stay competitive and relevant in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Supawan Teerarat for her thought-provoking and highly practical keynote address at the recent TICA luncheon at Dusit Thani Bangkok. Her message on driving real sector transformation — not superficial improvement — serves as a timely reminder that we must aim to deliver high-value outcomes that position Thailand as the regional business gateway.
Let us continue to collaborate, innovate, and embrace every opportunity that comes our way. Together, we can ensure that Thailand’s MICE industry continues to thrive and lead with purpose, passion, and creativity.
Warm regards,
Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk
