  1. 2nd TICA Membership Quarterly Luncheon 2026


    The 2nd TICA Membership Quarterly Luncheon 2026 was successfully held on Thursday, 30 April 2026, from 11:30 to 14:00 hrs. at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

    The session, “Global Headwinds, Strategic Responses: The Airline Perspective on Business Travel and MICE,” was delivered by Kittiphong Sansomboon, Chief, Commercial of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited.

    During the luncheon, Khun Kittiphong shared his perspective on the evolving global landscape, addressing current geopolitical uncertainties and their potential implications for international travel and the Business Events sector. He provided valuable insights into the prevailing market outlook, airline strategies, and the importance of global connectivity, while outlining how the aviation industry is preparing to navigate ongoing challenges.

    The event also offered an excellent platform for members to reconnect, exchange ideas, and gain meaningful insights into navigating the complexities shaping business travel and MICE today.

  2. MICE Day 2026: Driving Thailand Towards a Sustainable Future


    MICE Day 2026 successfully brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and business professionals from across Thailand’s Business Events ecosystem, spanning conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs, and mega-events.

    Held on 29–30 April 2026 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, the event centred on the theme “MICE in Motion: Driving Thailand to the Future.” It underscored the industry’s vital role in driving economic growth, fostering knowledge exchange, and creating new global opportunities.

    A key highlight of this year’s edition was its commitment to sustainability, as it was positioned as Thailand’s first event striving towards Net Zero Carbon status. This initiative set a new benchmark for environmentally responsible event management, reflecting the industry’s growing focus on sustainable practices.

    Overall, MICE Day 2026 reinforced Thailand’s position as a dynamic and forward-looking destination for Business Events, while demonstrating the sector’s readiness to adapt, innovate, and lead in an evolving global landscape.

  3. Bridging Campus to Career: MFU 2026 Connects Students with Industry Leaders


    MFU Campus to Career 2026 was successfully held on 24 April 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the E4 Building, 5th Floor (Phra Doo Deng Room), Mae Fah Luang University.

    The event provided an engaging platform for students to explore real-world career pathways and gain practical insights into the professional landscape. Through a series of informative sessions and interactive activities, attendees had the opportunity to learn directly from senior executives and industry experts, particularly from the Business Events (MICE) sector.

    A distinguished line-up of guest speakers shared their expertise and career experiences, including Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk, President of Thailand Incentive and Convention Association; Sureeporn Piromnipanant, Director of Sales & Marketing at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts; Bert Chamrernnusit, Managing Director, Thailand of Realm Events (Thailand) Ltd.; Patchararat Vattanakuljaras, Assistant Director of Sales at IMPACT Arena Exhibition and Convention Center; and Chutipong Tantisahastrangsee, Managing Director of Phoenix Events Group Co., Ltd..

    Overall, the event served as a valuable bridge between academic learning and professional practice, equipping students with a clearer understanding of career opportunities while fostering meaningful connections with industry leaders.


  4. Focus Group Discussion on Geopolitical Uncertainty


    TICA hosted a focus group discussion at Baan Dusit Thani on April 7th, 2026. Bringing together the TICA Board of Directors alongside TICA members, including representatives from hotels and DMCs, as well as TCEB.

    The discussion centered on the ongoing global situation and its impact on the industry, with an open exchange on collaborative approaches and solutions between the public and private sectors. Representatives explored ways to strengthen cooperation and navigate challenges together.

    We were honored to have Dr. Jaruwan Suwannasat, Senior Vice President – International of TCEB, join the session on behalf of the government sector, contributing valuable insights to the discussion.

    A meaningful step forward in aligning efforts and reinforcing partnerships across the industry.

  5. Inspiring the Next Generation: “MICE & Me” Connects Youth with Industry Opportunities


    On 3 April 2026, Dr. Supawan Teerarat, Director of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, delivered a keynote address on “Driving Forces for Economic Development and National Development” at the “MICE & Me: Next Gen to the MICE Industry” seminar, hosted by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, College of Tourism and Hospitality at Rangsit University.

    The seminar aimed to enhance understanding of the Business Events (MICE) industry and its vital role in Thailand’s economy. Key insights highlighted the sector as a major driver of national revenue, with MICE travellers typically spending three to four times more than leisure tourists. The industry’s contribution to broader economic distribution across multiple sectors was also emphasised, reinforcing its importance as a strategic economic pillar.

    The “Next Generation” forum featured a distinguished panel of industry leaders, including representatives from TCEB, the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association, the Thai Exhibition Association, the Event Management Association, and Society for Incentive Travel Excellence. Speakers shared valuable perspectives on the diverse career opportunities within the Business Events sector, extending beyond event organisation to include roles in marketing, management, technology, tourism, and the creative industries.

    With over 300 participants, including students from various faculties, vocational college teachers, and guidance counsellors, the seminar provided inspiration, practical guidance on skill development, and a clearer understanding of career pathways within this rapidly growing global industry.

    The event marked another important step in bridging the education and industry sectors, supporting the development of skilled talent to drive the future of Thailand’s Business Events industry.

  6. TICA Hosts Insightful Trade Show & Roadshow Training


    TICA successfully hosted the “Maximising Trade Show & Roadshow Opportunities” training course at The Okura Prestige Bangkok on 2 April 2026.

    Bringing together industry professionals and members, the session focused on equipping participants with practical strategies to prepare effectively, present with confidence, and build meaningful connections with international buyers and partners. The course offered a comprehensive look at how to maximise engagement and outcomes from trade shows and roadshows within the Business Events sector.

    The session featured valuable insights from esteemed speakers, including Kris Kritsanee Srisatin of Stream Events Asia; Sutthiporn Fongmool of MICE MAGNET ASIA; Chatvadee Meesuk of Queen Sirikit National Convention Center; and Warut Phanomphaithoon of Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel.

    In addition to the expert-led sessions, the training created a dynamic platform for knowledge-sharing and networking, encouraging meaningful exchanges among attendees and further strengthening connections within the industry.

  7. TAT Marks 66th Anniversary with Meaningful Giving


    The Tourism Authority of Thailand commemorated its 66th Anniversary on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, marking another milestone in its ongoing contribution to Thailand’s tourism sector.

    In place of traditional floral tributes, guests were invited to make meaningful contributions to the TAT Welfare Fund, which supports employees, workers, and their families. The initiative reflected a thoughtful and community-focused approach to the celebration, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to social responsibility.

    The Thailand Incentive and Convention Association was honoured to be part of this special occasion and proudly contributed Baht 5,000 in support of the fund, demonstrating its continued commitment to the wider tourism community.

  8. Thailand MICE Roadshow in Vietnam 2026


    TICA proudly participated in the Thailand MICE Roadshow in Vietnam 2026, organised by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), connecting with industry partners and strengthening business opportunities in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

    The roadshow brought together key buyers and Thai suppliers across airlines, hotels, and MICE businesses, featuring insightful destination presentations, productive business matching sessions, and valuable networking opportunities.

    We are delighted to be part of this initiative, showcasing Thailand’s strong potential as a leading MICE destination and building meaningful partnerships in the Vietnam market. We have TICA Members 17 organisations to participate this Roadshow.
