Thailand MICE Day 2026 Highlights the Future of Business Events

On 29 April 2026, Thailand MICE X-Change 2026 (TMX 2026), organised by the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) in collaboration with key public and private sector partners, officially opened as a leading platform for the exhibition, conference and events industry.

Co-located with MICE Day 2026 under Thailand MICE Week, organised by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the event took place on 29–30 April 2026 at Ballroom 1–3, Level 1, the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok. Under the theme “Innovation & Sustainability: Powering Excellence & Growth in Thailand’s MICE Industry,” TMX 2026 welcomed over 4,000 industry professionals from Thailand and around the world, reinforcing the country’s position as a regional hub for innovation and sustainable event development.

The opening ceremony was presided over by distinguished industry leaders, including Naphinthorn Srisanpang, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office; Loy Joon How, President of the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA); and Pasu Loharjun, Chairman of the Board of TCEB, alongside leading organisations across the MICE ecosystem.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Loy Joon How emphasised that Thailand MICE X-Change had evolved into a key platform showcasing exhibitions and events as strategic marketing tools. He noted that face-to-face engagement remained one of the most effective ways to build trust, generate business opportunities and create meaningful connections. He further highlighted TMX’s role in strengthening industry standards, particularly in innovation and sustainability, while supporting businesses in adapting to global trends and digital transformation.

TMX 2026 featured more than 100 leading event solution providers from Thailand and internationally, showcasing comprehensive services across the entire event value chain—from venues, booth design and construction, and logistics to event technology, marketing, communications and hospitality.

A key highlight was the X-Change Square Conference, which brought together over 29 industry experts and thought leaders across more than 16 sessions. Topics included industry outlook and future trends, AI and technology in event marketing, sustainability in MICE, exhibition logistics, business matching strategies, and innovative booth design and experience creation. Speakers from leading organisations shared practical insights, real-world case studies and strategic perspectives, enabling attendees to translate knowledge into actionable business strategies.

The event also hosted a Business Matching Programme, designed to connect exhibitors with qualified buyers, including international organisers, corporate decision-makers and entrepreneurs, facilitating strategic partnerships and measurable business outcomes within a single integrated platform.

Sustainability remained a strong focus, with initiatives such as promoting public transport, reducing single-use plastics, encouraging paperless registration and supporting green event practices across all stakeholders.

With strong participation from industry leaders, global partners and key stakeholders, TMX 2026 reinforced its role as a premier platform for knowledge exchange, business networking and innovation—driving Thailand’s MICE industry towards a more sustainable and globally competitive future.

The event was supported by leading organisations, including RX BITEC (Thailand) Co., Ltd. as the X-Change Square Stage Sponsor; Shanghai New International Expo Centre as the Business Lounge Sponsor; Resorts World Sentosa as the Goodie Bag Sponsor; and DSV Contract Logistics Ltd. as the Exclusive Lanyard Sponsor.
