TICA at EEC Expo 2025
On 24 August 2025, TICA President Khun Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk joined as a panelist at the session “Experiences the Magic of Eastern MICE: เส้นทางสายไมซ์ใหม่ภาคตะวันออกรองรับนักธุรกิจกลุ่มไมซ์” during the EEC Expo 2025 at BITEC.
Together with Khun Wandee Prakobtham, Chairperson of the Takien Tia Tourism Community Enterprise; Khun Punnaporn Wongjunpen, President of SITE; and Khun Chiranya Sangsan, Senior Manager of the Central Regional Office, TCEB, the discussion explored the opportunities for the Eastern region to grow as a dynamic new MICE destination.

TICA Congratulates Khun Supawan Teerarat, New TCEB President
On 22 August 2025, TICA paid a congratulatory visit to Khun Supawan Teerarat at the TCEB office on her appointment as President of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
Representing TICA on this occasion were Khun Sumate Sudasna, President Emeritus; Khun Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk, President; Khun Kritsanee Srisatin, Vice President; Khun ChooLeng Goh, Co-Chairman of the Capabilities Development Committee; and Khun Prapaphan Sungmuang, General Manager.
TICA extends its warmest wishes to Khun Supawan and looks forward to close collaboration in advancing Thailand’s business events industry.

Marking an Auspicious Occasion at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai
On 12 August 2025, TICA President Khun Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk attended the celebration of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s Birthday Anniversary at the Thailand Pavilion, Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai. Representing both TICA and TCEB, Khun Prachoom joined Dr. Pasu Loharjun, Chairman of the Board, TCEB executives, and partners in marking this auspicious occasion. Guests explored the “Thailand MICE Wellness” exhibition, showcasing wellness-focused MICE routes across Thailand’s regions, alongside interactive features such as the AI Photo Booth, which received enthusiastic feedback from visitors.

Training Course – Be Effective at Trade Shows
TICA organised a half-day training session in Phuket, led by President Khun Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk, on strategies for achieving success at international trade shows. The course offered members practical approaches to maximise their presence and performance on the global stage.

AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge 2025
This year, TICA proudly hosted its first MICE University Pitch Challenge, an exclusive platform for TICA University Members to showcase innovative convention and exhibition concepts.
Congratulations to Mae Fah Luang University’s Team 4tune, whose winning concept, “WHY 2026 – World Hub for Y-Content”, earned them the opportunity to represent Thailand at the AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge 2025 in Jakarta. The team also received a monetary award of THB 100,000, sponsored by the Convention Promotion Foundation (CPF).
TICA commends all participating universities, judges, and sponsors for their contribution in making this inaugural initiative a resounding success.

Training Course – Bidding for International Conventions
On 7 August 2025, TICA members participated in a training session on Bidding for International Conventions, held at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok. The session provided in-depth strategies and insights designed to enhance Thailand’s competitiveness in securing international conventions. TICA extends its gratitude to the expert speakers for sharing their invaluable knowledge and strengthening members’ capabilities in this vital area.

Thailand Destination Update (TDU 2025) – Kanchanaburi
Held from 30 July to 1 August 2025, the latest TICA Destination Update took participants to the riverside province of Kanchanaburi. The three-day programme blended cultural immersion, sustainability-focused workshops, and local heritage experiences to highlight Kanchanaburi’s growing potential as a business events destination.
Highlights included visits to Ban Nhong Khao village, the Kanchanaburi Skywalk, and Mallika City 1905 A.D.; CSR activities at Elephant World; and a series of networking dinners showcasing local cuisine, wellness themes, and cultural performances. The journey concluded with a visit to the historic Kanchanaburi Paper Mill, leaving participants inspired by the province’s unique blend of tradition and innovation.
