Resilient, Adaptive, Leading :
Thailand’s MICE Power

Dear TICA Members,

In the face of global economic slowdown and geopolitical uncertainties, Thailand’s business events industry continues to demonstrate remarkable resilience and growth. Despite challenges, our nation welcomed over 650,000 international MICE travellers in the first half of 2025, contributing an estimated 40 billion Baht to the economy through meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions. These numbers are a testament to the strength of our sector and the confidence the world continues to place in Thailand.

Domestically, the momentum is equally strong. Enquiries from the Meetings and Incentives (M&I) sectors have risen steadily, reflecting not only renewed corporate confidence but also the attractiveness of our destinations, facilities, and service standards. From international congresses in fintech and healthcare to flagship exhibitions like THAIFEX–Anuga Asia, Thailand has firmly positioned itself as a regional leader in hosting world-class events.

Infrastructure development continues to support this growth. Major cities are expanding and upgrading venues with cutting-edge technology and sustainable features, ensuring that Thailand remains competitive and future-ready. Equally important, our industry is aligning with global priorities by embracing sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion—making events not just impactful, but purpose-driven.

In these turbulent times, our industry is not merely holding steady—it is surging forward with renewed energy and determination. Together, we have shown that Thailand’s MICE industry can thrive, adapt, and lead, regardless of external challenges.

Now is the time for unity. Let us continue to work hand in hand to amplify Thailand’s position as the world’s most dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking MICE destination. Our collective strength is the driving force that will shape the brighter future we all envision.

Warm regards,
Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk
President, Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA)
